Before starting off, please read the Legal Notice and Disclaimer Page. If you have never listed any properties OnLine, or are not familiar with filling out forms on the website, it might sound a bit complicated, but don't worry, the website itself tells you what to do each step of the way, and once you have listed a few properties, it will take you just a few minutes to add the next one. If you already are familiar with filling out Web forms, you should get the hang of it real fast. So let's start; After your account is activated you can login with your user name and password.
To edit your profile info, or add a picture or your Logo, you click on the "My Account" button and an edit page with your previous filled out information opens. Here you can also change your password. Please note: You might have to click twice on the "My Account" button if you get the message "Permission Denied" after you click. It's a little glitch in the system. You can have a maximum of 200 Listings. To create a New Listing you go back to your Control Panel on the left), and click on the "Add Listing" image. Now you get a popup where you can make a selection what type of property you want to list. As soon as you made the selection, you get a Listing Editor page on which you fill out all the property information and simply tick off all that is relevant. Please note: when filling out the price(s) please DO NOT put the commas ( , ) or decimal point ( . ), because the price(s) will not show correct. So for example you fill out 1 million as 1000000 When you have filled out all the property info. When you are finished filling out all the property information, make sure the field "Active" is set to "Yes" and click "Update" at the bottom or right top of the page and that is it, your page is created and your listing is advertised on the WebSite. If you want a paragraph space or start a new line in the "Full Description" field, you can write (or copy and paste) the following HTML scripts: After your page is up on the Site, you can make as many changes to the listings as you want by clicking on the "Edit my Listings" image in your control panel (you have to be logged in of course). Now you can select the listing you want to edit by clicking on the little pencil To add or edit pictures, it is better that the file name of your pictures do not contain a comma ( , ) or a space, because some Internet Browsers, as well as some computers do not allow or recognize any other signs than letters and numbers in the file names. For example: "house, john.jpg" or "house john.jpg" You can upload a maximum of 10 pictures per listing. To upload the pictures to the Website you start again by clicking on the "Edit my Listings" image in your control panel. Look for the listing you want to edit, and click on the little pencil. Just like described above, the "Listing Editor" page with the property you want to edit opens, and you click on the "Upload a Picture" button on the right, or you drag and drop a picture from your file into the "or drop a file here space". If you use the "Upload a Picture" button, you get a popup to upload your picture(s) directly from your browser the same way I described above to upload your logo or personal picture; Simply click on "Browse" and a window opens for you to select the file where you keep your pictures, select the picture to upload and do the same with picture # 2 and 3 ...etc. When you are done, click "Upload picture" underneath your pictures to be uploaded list, and the pictures are uploaded to your WebPage. This can take a few minutes depending on amount, and size of the pictures, and of course the speed of your connection. Please click "Upload picture" only ONCE and wait until you get a success or error notice. During the process of uploading the pictures, the WebSite will optimize the picture and data sizes, so you property pages and pictures will load as fast as possible. This avoids slow loading WebPages, because as we know most people (I am one of them) have little patience while surfing the Internet, and usually move on to another WebSite if webpages or pictures take too long to load. This is a complaint I hear quite often from customers who checked other Websites. Most visitors are very pleased with loading times of this WebSite. However, even though the data size of the pictures is automatically reduced, before uploading a picture, try to keep the data size as low as possible, also to avoid lengthy up loading times when you upload the pictures. If you know how to do it you can also reduce the data and/or physical size of your pictures with a Photo Editing program such as MS Paint (comes standard on every pc that runs on Windows), Photoed or Paint Shop, but there are many other programs, and I am sure you have one on your pc. To reduce the size in MS Paint you open the picture in MS Paint, click on "Image" and choose "Stretch/Skew" and reduce the Horizontal and Vertical percentage in the "Stretch" field. If your pictures are very large, try 25% for both. After you have reduced the physical size in your the photo editing program, you have to save it. To do this in MS Paint, you click on "File" and click on "Save" or "Save As" and give your picture a name. I advise to keep the names as short as possible and in letter and number codes, e.g. the first picture of the first property in Granville can be: gr-1-1. The second picture of that property will be gr-1-2 ... etc. In a more elaborate photo editing program, before clicking on the "Save" button in the window, you must see an "Options" button and when you click on it, you will see an option to reduce the data size manually. It usually is a slide button and it will be indicated which way to slide. I usually put it at 50 or 40%. Well, I hope it was all clear to you , and I am looking forward to see many of your listings.
